Tripoli: Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour met today in Tripoli with Stephanie Khoury, the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya. The meeting focused on evaluating the performance of correctional and rehabilitation institutions, particularly regarding their adherence to both national and international standards in the administration of sentences.
According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Sour and Khoury reviewed the findings from a recent assessment of inmate conditions at the Tripoli Main Correctional and Rehabilitation Institution. They also engaged in discussions about the legal status of individuals who were arrested during operations conducted by the Deterrence Force aimed at combating terrorism and organized crime.
