Al-Sharaa to Visit Washington for Anti-ISIS Coalition Agreement

Barrack: Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa will head to Washington this November to sign an agreement to join the US-led international coalition against ISIS. US Special Envoy to Syria, Tom Barrack, confirmed the visit on Saturday.

According to National news agency – Lebanon, Barrack made this announcement during the Manama Dialogue in Bahrain. He affirmed that al-Sharaa’s visit is scheduled for this month and stated that the Syrian President will “most likely” sign the agreement to become part of the international coalition against ISIS.

This development marks a significant move in international efforts to combat ISIS, as Syria’s involvement could enhance collaborative measures in the region. The specifics of the agreement and the implications for Syria’s role in the coalition are anticipated to be discussed during al-Sharaa’s visit to Washington.
