Al-Namroush Engages in Dialogue with UNSMIL on Security Efforts

Tripoli: The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, held a meeting with the Director of Security Sector Reform and the Head of the Security Institutions Department of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) at his office this morning. The gathering was part of ongoing efforts to bolster the security and military track and pave the way for comprehensive stability in Libya.

According to Libyan News Agency, the General Staff has indicated that the meeting focused on reviewing the UN mission's initiatives concerning "structured dialogue" on security issues. The discussions also highlighted international efforts aimed at unifying Libya's military institutions and explored ways to coordinate national programs dedicated to enhancing border security.

The General Staff further reported that Lieutenant General al-Namroush expressed his unwavering support for both national and international endeavors to fortify border security and stability. He reiterated his commitment to backing the security track and dialogue initiatives under the auspices of the United Nations and emphasized his dedication to advancing cooperation in the unification of the military institution.
