Al-Namroush and Russian Ambassador Discuss Military Cooperation

Tripoli: The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Salah al-Din al-Namroush, met with the Russian Federation's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Libya, Haider Rashid Abdullah Aghanin, and the Military Attach© at the Embassy, Alexei Munyakov, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Presidency stated on its official page that the meeting focused on prospects for Libyan-Russian cooperation, particularly in the military field, and the importance of developing training and qualification programs to enhance the efficiency and readiness of military personnel.

The discussions centered on activating the partnership in military development and opening broader horizons for joint cooperation that serve mutual interests and strengthen the capabilities of the Libyan army according to modern professional standards.

The Russian ambassador expressed his country's readiness to strengthen cooperation with Libya and provide support in the areas of military training and qualification, aiming to contribute to developing capabilities and building an effective partnership between the two sides.
