Tripoli: President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, emphasized the importance of building upon the existing national understandings between the heads of the Presidential Council, the House of Representatives, and the High Council of State. This, he stated, would contribute to developing a consensual roadmap that enjoys broad acceptance and establishes a sustainable political settlement based on national partnership, preserving the unity and sovereignty of the state.

According to Libyan News Agency, this came during his meeting today, Wednesday, in Tripoli, with a number of ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Libya. These included the ambassadors of Qatar, the European Union, Italy, Russia, Turkey, Spain, the United Kingdom, Greece, and China, as well as the Deputy Ambassador of France and the Charg© d'Affaires of the Saudi Arabian Embassy.

The President of the Presidential Council stressed that the success of any political process requires the participation of all relevant Libyan parties. This, he asserted, would ensure a comprehensive national consensus and enhance the chances of reaching sustainable solutions that meet the aspirations of the Libyan people for security, stability, and development.

Al-Menfi also emphasized the pivotal role of the Presidential Council in supporting national consensus and bridging the gaps between different parties, thereby enhancing the chances of success for the political process and preserving the unity and stability of Libya.

The meeting addressed the latest political developments in Libya and the national efforts aimed at ending the transitional phase through a comprehensive Libyan political process that leads to the unification of institutions and the consolidation of political, security, and economic stability in the country.
