Al-Menfi Engages with Misrata Leaders for Political Settlement Talks

Tripoli: The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, met today, Monday, in Tripoli, with a number of dignitaries from the city of Misrata, as part of ongoing national consultations aimed at strengthening consensus and supporting efforts toward a political settlement in the country.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Presidential Council's media office stated that the meeting addressed the latest political and economic developments in Libya. Discussions focused on current challenges and ways to support national initiatives that would advance the political process, thereby consolidating stability and paving the way for holding elections.

The office quoted the Misrata dignitaries as affirming their support for the steps taken by the Head of the Presidential Council to promote national consensus and their backing for all initiatives aimed at building a civil state, strengthening its institutions, and fulfilling the aspirations of the Libyan people for security, stability, and development.
