Tashkent: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Abdullah Al-Masry, participated in the meeting of the Association of Secretaries-General of National Parliaments of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (ASIPU), held in the Uzbek capital.
According to Libyan News Agency, the spokesperson for the Speaker of the HoR, Abdullah Blihaq, stated in a press release that the meeting addressed current issues and innovations within parliaments, along with the training and development of parliamentary staff.
Blihaq highlighted that Al-Masry emphasized the HoR’s commitment to offering a variety of training opportunities for its employees to enhance their skills and improve their job performance. These opportunities include orientation and absorption programs, internal and external training programs, and practical training. Additionally, partnerships with academic and research institutions are established based on methodological foundations that reflect the actual training needs of employees. The HoR has achieved over 40
,000 training hours for its employees and has trained more than 700 employees in this context.
Concerning the HoR’s support for employees in acquiring additional academic qualifications, Blihaq explained that supporting postgraduate studies is not just a policy but a practical commitment to building national competencies capable of leading change.
