Al-Mashri and Williams agree on need to continue consultation for consensus among all parties to maintain calm and stability

Tripoli- The Head of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mashri, and UN Secretary-General Special Advisor on Libya Stephanie Williams have agreed on the need for continued consultation and consensus among all parties to maintain calm and stability, and to establish a comprehensive national reconciliation to reach the elections.

This came during a meeting Al Mashri and Williams held in the capital Tripoli on Monday.

Meanwhile, a statement by the High Council of State published on its official website said Al-Mashri underscored need for continued consultation and consensus between all parties, and the establishment of comprehensive national reconciliation, to reach elections, to end the transitions, and achieve lasting stability in the country.

Williams tweeted after the meeting “I met yesterday Al-Mashri, in Tripoli, where we stressed the need to continue consultations and consensus among all political actors, to maintain calm and stability, and to establish a comprehensive national reconciliation to reach the elections.
