Al-Lafi Engages in Strategic Discussions with Libyan Defense Leaders

Tripoli: Abdullah Al-Lafi, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, held a significant meeting today with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense of the Government of National Unity and the Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army. The discussions centered on the latest military developments, the progress of operations, and the organizational and administrative procedures within the military institution. This underscores the high command’s commitment to enhancing discipline and ensuring comprehensive readiness.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Presidential Council’s media office reported that the meeting also covered plans for forming a joint military force and evaluated the outcomes achieved so far. These efforts aim to unify the military institution and develop integrated national capabilities capable of safeguarding national sovereignty and effectively addressing security challenges. A key focus was placed on ensuring a balanced geographical distribution of the force to provide comprehensive security coverage across all regions of the country.

Additionally, the meeting tackled the issue of retired military personnel, discussing proposed mechanisms to regulate their administrative and financial status.
