Al-Harouj Oil Operations Boosts Production with New Amal Field Well

Tripoli: Al-Harouj Oil Operations has successfully commenced production from well B79A at the Amal Field, marking a significant achievement in the region's oil extraction efforts. The National Oil Corporation (NOC) revealed that the drilling and commissioning of this replacement well have been completed, integrating it into the existing production infrastructure. The well is currently yielding nearly 2,000 barrels of crude oil daily, with a water cut of no more than 4 percent. According to Libyan News Agency, this milestone is a crucial component of the NOC's strategic plan for 2026, which outlines the drilling of six wells to bolster production capacity and enhance output rates. Technical flow tests conducted using a test separator have confirmed the well's efficiency, achieving the desired production rates, and maintaining a low water content, underscoring the proficiency of the technical execution and the dedication of Al-Harouj Oil Operations' engineering and technical teams. NOC Chairman Masoud Suleima n extended his congratulations to the Management Committee and the employees of Al-Harouj Oil Operations for their diligent efforts in the drilling, commissioning, and connection of the well. Suleiman highlighted the necessity of sustaining these efforts to align with the NOC's objectives of amplifying production rates and advancing the oil and gas sector, thereby enhancing the corporation's capability to meet its operational goals in the forthcoming period.
