Al-Baour Engages in Talks with UNDP Representative to Boost Libya-UNDP Cooperation

Tripoli: The Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, held discussions with Sophie Kimkhaddze, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Libya, focusing on enhancing joint cooperation. The meeting addressed critical areas such as stabilization support, strengthening governance, sustainable development, and institutional capacity building.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussion highlighted the importance of continuing the existing partnership between Libya and the UNDP. This collaboration aims to support the priorities of the Libyan government, achieve development goals, and improve responses to the economic and social challenges the country faces.

Al-Baour expressed Libya’s gratitude for the role of the UNDP in supporting recovery and stabilization efforts. He reiterated Libya’s commitment to constructive cooperation with international partners, emphasizing the importance of serving national interests and achieving comprehensive development.
