Al-Baour and UN Official Discuss Humanitarian Efforts in Libya

Tripoli: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, held a meeting in Tripoli with Ulrika Richardson, the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya and Resident Coordinator. The focus of the meeting was to address the latest developments in the humanitarian situation in Libya.



According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions centered on enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Government of National Unity and the United Nations. The aim is to bolster national efforts to improve humanitarian and service conditions in Libya, particularly for the most vulnerable groups in the country.



The meeting underscored the significance of maintaining the partnership with the United Nations. This collaboration is seen as crucial for supporting stability, building capacity, and promoting sustainable development in Libya, while ensuring that the country’s priorities and national sovereignty are respected.
