Tripoli: This morning, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Taher Al-Baour received the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Gven Bege§. During their meeting, the two officials discussed the enhancement of bilateral relations between Libya and Turkey, focusing on strengthening joint cooperation in political, economic, and security sectors to serve mutual interests and reinforce the deep historical ties shared by the Libyan and Turkish peoples.
According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Baour highlighted the necessity for continued coordination and consultation between Libya and Turkey on issues of common interest. He lauded Turkey’s significant role in supporting Libya’s stability and its valuable contributions to reconstruction and development efforts in the country.
Ambassador Bege§ expressed Turkey’s commitment to bolstering bilateral cooperation and supporting Libya on its political and developmental journey. He reiterated the Turkish government’s readiness to provide all necessary assistance to help fulfill the Libyan people’s aspirations for security and prosperity.
The meeting concluded with both parties, including the Ministry’s Director of the Department of Asian and Australian Affairs, Hassan bin Rabha, emphasizing the importance of ongoing constructive dialogue and the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Libya and Turkey.
