Cairo: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, met today with the Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohieddin Salem Ahmed Ibrahim, to discuss bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation that serves the common interests of both nations.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting was attended by Libya's representative to the League of Arab States and the Acting Head of the Libyan Embassy in Cairo. This discussion took place on the sidelines of the 166th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of foreign ministers, held in Cairo.
The two officials focused on the latest developments in Sudan, underscoring the significance of supporting efforts to achieve security, stability, and peace while maintaining Sudan's unity and territorial integrity.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the necessity of ongoing coordination and consultation, as well as exchanging views on issues of mutual interest. They highlighted the importance of cooperation within the League of Arab States to enhance joint Arab action and support the interests of their respective countries.
