Al-Baour Acknowledges Strengthened Libya-Mauritania Ties

Tripoli: Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, affirmed today the depth of bilateral relations between Libya and Mauritania, following the end of the Mauritanian Ambassador to Libya, Weddady Ould Sidi Heiba's diplomatic mission.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry stated on its official page that Al-Baour met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Libya on the occasion of the end of his term. The meeting addressed the progress of bilateral relations between Libya and Mauritania, highlighting their development and cooperation in several areas of mutual interest, as well as exploring ways to support and strengthen these relations to serve the common interests of the two brotherly nations.

During the meeting, Al-Baour praised the positive role played by the Mauritanian ambassador during his tenure, commending his efforts in strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, and wishing him success in his future diplomatic endeavors. For his part, the Mauritanian ambassador expressed his gratitude to His Excellency Mr. Al-Baour and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the cooperation and support he received, which contributed to the success of his mission. He emphasized the depth of bilateral relations and his country's commitment to further developing and strengthening them across various fields.
