Al-Asabaa Municipality Homes Damage Assessment Continues Amidst Fire Aftermath

Al-Asabaa: The work teams of the committee to assess the extent of damage to citizens’ homes in the municipality of Al-Asabaa continue their work to document and evaluate the destruction caused by recent fires inside homes.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government for Municipal Affairs, who is also the head of the committee, confirmed that the teams have completed their assessments on 46 homes. However, the work is ongoing. The primary objective of these operations is to provide fair assistance to affected citizens and streamline compensation procedures. Citizens are urged to cooperate with the committee by providing all necessary information to ensure accurate assessments.

The committee comprises accounting experts from the Criminal Investigation Department and members of the Al-Asabaa Municipality’s Projects Department. They are conducting a detailed evaluation using specially prepared damage assessment forms. This process aims to compile comprehensive data on the extent of the disaster and its impact on the community.

The assessment process involves examining the damage to the structures and foundations of homes. The committee is performing thorough inspections of the walls and roofs of damaged buildings to ascertain the extent of the destruction.
