Al-Araji discusses with a UN official international efforts to end and dismantle Al-Hol camp

The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, received in his office today, Thursday, the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Elections, Claudio Cordone.

Al-Araji reviewed, according to a statement by the Chancellery with Cordone, the overall political and security situation in the region, and the continued support of the United Nations to Iraq, on the humanitarian side.

The meeting also witnessed discussion of issues of common concern, especially the files of the Syrian Al-Hawl camp, Makhmour, and Sinjar, and especially the efforts of the international community to contribute to supporting Iraq, to end and dismantle the Al-Hol camp, and to achieve stability in the region.
