AFRICOM Conducts Training with Libyan Military Air Controllers

Tripoli: The US Embassy in Libya announced that the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), with support from the US Strategic Command, conducted specialized training with Libyan military tactical air controllers from both western and eastern Libya on February 26 around Sirte. This initiative aims to enhance the reunification of Libyan military and security institutions.

According to Libyan News Agency, the embassy quoted Lieutenant General John Brennan, Deputy Commander of AFRICOM, stating, “We are committed to continuing cooperation with Libyan forces to support a stable, unified, and sovereign Libya.” The training represents a significant step in ongoing efforts to bolster Libyan defense capabilities and foster unity across its military sectors.
