Tripoli: Khalifa Abdel Sadek, Minister of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity, engaged in discussions with Abdelkrim Rekaibi, the Algerian Ambassador to Libya, regarding the latest advancements in Sonatrach’s operations in Libya. They explored the potential for expanding cooperation and future partnerships, particularly focusing on unconventional resources, to benefit the interests of both nations.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting, held in Tripoli, highlighted the strong fraternal ties between Libya and Algeria. Both parties reiterated their mutual dedication to enhancing collaboration within the energy sector. Furthermore, the dialogue included Algeria’s expected participation in upcoming events organized by the Ministry of Oil and Gas. These include the Libya-Africa International Gas Forum slated for December and the Libya Energy and Economy Summit scheduled for January 24-26, 2026. These initiatives are part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to boost regional cooperation and foster
partnerships aimed at advancing Libya’s energy sector development.
