A committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation reviews the lists of Libyan prisoners in Tunisia.

Tripoli, The committee assigned by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Expatriate Affairs visited the Chairman of the Permanent Committee to Follow Up on the Conditions and Cases of Libyan Prisoners Abroad, “Mohamed Zaidan” to Tunisia to follow up on the conditions of Libyan prisoners there.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement today, Tuesday, that this visit comes within the framework of the interest of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, “Najla Al-Manqoush” in the file of Libyan prisoners abroad, in the context of activating her decision No. (544) in this regard.

At the beginning of its visit, the Committee met with the Consul General in Tunisia, “Fadel Al-Qario”, where it listened to the explanations regarding this file. The issues and problems facing the Libyan prisoners in the sisterly Republic of Tunisia were also discussed, in general, and ways to find appropriate solutions to them.

The members of the committee reviewed the lists of prisoners and detainees in Tunisia, their prison conditions, and the measures taken by the consulate in their regard.

In the same context, the Committee met with the Consul General of the Libyan Consulate General in Sfax, “Mohamed Zlitni.” During the meeting, the same issues and issues related to Libyan prisoners who are within the scope of the Consulate General in Sfax were discussed.
