Jakarta:The official opening ceremony commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Arab Region of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts was held today. Attendees included the Minister of Social Affairs of the Government of National Unity, various department directors from the Ministry of Youth, the Chair of the Arab Region, and the General Commissioner of the General Movement of Scouts and Guides, along with his deputy.
According to Libyan News Agency, the ceremony also saw participation from female members of the House of Representatives, members of the High Council of State, distinguished female leaders, honorary members of the Region, and outstanding young women from ten sister Arab nations who gathered under a single banner.
The Ministry of Youth of the Government of National Unity emphasized that the event celebrates sixty years of dedicated service in the scouting and guiding movement. It highlights the Arab Region's efforts to build the character of Arab girls, develop their leadership capabilities, and promote values of volunteerism, a sense of belonging, and community service.
