Zliten: Zliten Municipality has made progress in addressing the phenomenon of groundwater overflow. The head of the Supreme Technical Committee tasked with following up on the phenomenon of groundwater overflow in Zliten Municipality, Saleh Al-Sadiq, announced that the committee has made remarkable progress in addressing the problem of groundwater overflow, in cooperation with the joint scientific technical team.
According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Sadiq explained that three wells located near the drainage line have been connected via a pipe buried under the ground surface at a depth of about a meter and a half, which allows water to be transported in a natural flow. This intervention has led to the flow of water from the three wells in the Saniya Al-Ghafoud area at a rate of 6,700 cubic meters per day, which is considered significant progress according to the technical team’s assessment.
