With the participation of Libya… The launch of a regional conference to simulate the mechanism of referring victims of human trafficking on the migration paths

Malta- The work of the regional training conference to simulate the referral mechanism for victims of human trafficking in the southern Mediterranean, under the title “Human Trafficking on Migration Paths”, kicked off today, Monday, in the Maltese capital, Valletta.

Several Libyan institutions, including the National Council for Public Freedoms and Human Rights, the Higher Committee for Childhood, the Ministry of Interior, the Higher Committee for Childhood, and a number of civil society organizations will participate in the conference.

The organization of the conference comes within the framework of the joint programs between the European Union and the Council of Europe for the protection of human rights, the rule of law and democracy and the “Project to Support Independent Bodies in Tunisia” and will continue until the end of this October.

It is noteworthy that the conference is being held for the first time in the Southern Mediterranean region and brings together more than 100 participants and experts, including representatives of governments, judges, prosecutors, law enforcement, social and health services of labor inspections, as well as civil society and journalists.
