Williams and Iran’s Assistant Secretary of State for the Middle East and North African Affairs discuss situation in Libya

Tunis, Un Secretary-General Special Adviser on Libya Stephanie Williams met in Tunis on Wednesday with Iran’s Assistant Foreign Minister for the Middle East and North African Affairs Mir Massoud Hosseinian, with whom she discussed the current situation in Libya.

Williams said in a tweet the meeting was attended by Iran’s Ambassador to Libya, Mohammad Reza Rauf Shebani, and tackled importance of constructive international participation towards Libya, and the role of all actors in ensuring that stability and peace are not threatened under any circumstances.
