The White House considered the Iranian attack on Israel a major escalation by Iran.
White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said in a press conference: ‘Based on what we know at this stage, it appears that this attack was repelled and was not effective.’
In a related context, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken considered the Iranian attack on Israel ‘totally unacceptable.’
Blinken said in a brief statement: ‘Initial reports indicate that Israel, with great support from the United States and other allies, effectively thwarted this attack.’
