Surman: The Western Region Directorate Support Force has firmly denied recent reports circulating on social media that claim illegal immigrants escaped after being apprehended by the force in the city of Surman, stating that these allegations are false.
According to Libyan News Agency, the force released a statement on Sunday clarifying its ongoing efforts to identify migrant workers who have entered the country without official documents. The statement highlighted that illegal immigrants tend to flee when patrols are dispatched to apprehend them, countering the claims of any successful escape post-apprehension.
The Directorate Support Force assured residents of Surman that security operations are progressing in line with a defined security plan. The force also urged citizens to assist by reporting the whereabouts of migrant workers, reinforcing the community’s role in maintaining security and order.
