Spokesman for the Local Development Ministry Khaled Qasim said the ministry had received a letter from Country Director of the World Bank (WB) for Egypt, Djibouti and Yemen Stephane Guimbert, which is reflecting a strong support for current and future partnerships between the two sides. Qasim added in televised remarks to Sada el Balad satellite channel on Saturday that the letter has clear indications to further build on successes of the local development program in Upper Egypt. On Friday 26/7/2024, Guimbert sent a letter to Local Development Minister Manal Awad in which he said the WB is looking forward to maintaining and boosting the support for the ministry in different cooperation vistas between both sides, including decentralization and development of local administration.
