Tripoli: The Ministry of Water Resources of the Government of National Unity has successfully completed maintenance and electromechanical rehabilitation work at the Al-Assa, Raqdalin, and Al-Jamil water treatment plants. This initiative is part of ongoing contracts aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the water sector's infrastructure across the region.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry detailed that the maintenance, carried out under the vigilant supervision of the Projects Department, focused on the rehabilitation of the plants' electromechanical components. This work was conducted in line with approved technical standards to ensure the operational readiness of the plants and to enhance their performance efficiency.
The Ministry further confirmed that the upgraded plants have now been handed over to the General Water and Sanitation Company. This handover marks a significant step towards the reactivation of these facilities, thereby supporting the water supply system and improving the quality of services provided to citizens in the targeted areas.
These efforts form an integral part of the "Return to Life" projects, which are designed to develop essential facilities and bolster the readiness of infrastructure within various sectors.
