Tripoli: The Ministry of Water Resources of the Government of National Unity issued a warning today about anticipated weather fluctuations expected to impact various regions, particularly in the north, southwest, areas near the Algerian border, and the Nafusa Mountains, over the coming hours and continuing until next Tuesday.
According to Libyan News Agency, forecasts from the National Meteorological Center suggest the possibility of rainfall of varying intensities, likely accompanied by thunderstorms in some areas. This weather pattern raises concerns about potential water accumulation in low-lying regions and the risk of flash floods and overflowing local wadis.
The Ministry has urged citizens to avoid wadis and low-lying areas, advising against crossing them during periods of rainfall or when water levels are elevated. Residents are encouraged to exercise caution and adhere to instructions from relevant authorities to ensure public safety.
