Vice President of the Presidential Council receives the Algerian ambassador to Libya

Tripoli – The Vice-President of the Presidential Council, “Abdullah Al-Lafi” received today, Thursday, in the capital, Tripoli, the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Libya, “Suleiman Shanine”, who conveyed the greetings of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Presidential Council, and his affirmation of the depth of the relations that bind the two brotherly peoples.

The Presidential Representative praised the positions of the Algerian government and people in support of Libya during the past years, without interfering with Libyan sovereignty, expressing his appreciation for the Algerian efforts being made to resolve the crisis, through communication with the international community and all Libyan parties, in order to reach a settlement that contributes to the stability of Libya.

Al-Lafi reviewed with the Algerian ambassador the latest developments in the political situation in Libya, and the role played by the Presidential Council to achieve stability by conducting the elections, in implementation of the aspirations of the Libyan people, achieving comprehensive national reconciliation, and benefiting from the Algerian experience in this context.

He also reviewed the latest stages of the national reconciliation project, which will be an integrated project to formulate a peaceful and social pact that everyone agrees on, so that it will be an entry point for resolving the political crisis in the country.

In turn, the ambassador stressed that the security and stability of Libya is part of the security and stability of Algeria, and that his country will spare no effort to achieve stability in Libya, by communicating with all Libyan and international political parties.
