Foundation year students at Vatel Hospitality & Tourism Business School have participated in a series of workshops to acquire the skills required to start their practical training in accordance with international standards.

The workshops, “Etiquette in Hospitality” featured etiquette in communicating with guests, preparing dining tables and serving food and beverage at the five-star hotel service standard.

Vatel Bahrain General Director Shaikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al Khalifa confirmed that these workshops are in line with the objectives of Vatel to prepare highly qualified and comprehensive graduates through their acquisition of practical experience.

The workshops prepare Vatel students for the practical side of the study programme, and qualify them to engage in the labor market in the fields of tourism, hotel, and hospitality in a smooth and fast manner, in addition to acquiring more experience in these fields, he added.

Shaikh Khaled noted that these workshops are in line with the college’s strategy to ensure that Vatel graduates have the highest standard of education both in theory and practical applications, especially in matters of etiquette, guest management, and maintaining service level in five-star tourist facilities.

Vatel continuously provides such workshops to ensure that its students gain the most experience throughout their study in Vatel, he said.
