Accra: Senior US Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, Massad Boulos, welcomed the progress made by Libyan parties in Tunisia towards reaching an agreement on election laws and the High National Elections Commission. In a tweet posted on his X platform on Friday, Boulos said, 'This step represents significant progress towards a credible path to successful national elections.' According to Libyan News Agency, Boulos affirmed the United States' continued support for dialogue among the relevant Libyan parties and its commitment to working with the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) and international partners to help Libyans reach a lasting political solution. He indicated that Washington aims, through this support, to contribute to the establishment of a unified executive authority capable of managing the affairs of all of Libya.
