The US State Department announced its unequivocal support for the efforts of the UN envoy to Libya, Abdallah Bathily, to reach the necessary political consensus so that the Libyans can hold elections as soon as possible.
The US State Department said, in a tweet on Twitter, that it is time for Libya’s leaders to show the progress made and show their willingness to put the interests of their nation above their own.
