Tripoli: The US Embassy in Libya has emphasized that the security cooperation between the United States and Libya is instrumental in supporting Libyan-led efforts to unify the national army and uphold the sovereignty of Libya. According to Libyan News Agency, the embassy conveyed this message through a tweet on its -X- platform account, detailing the visit of high-ranking US officials to Libya. During the period from February 3 to 6, Deputy Commander of AFRICOM Lieutenant General John Brennan, Brigadier General Rose Kravory, and Charg© d’Affaires of the US Embassy Jeremy Brent engaged in discussions with leaders in Tripoli, Benghazi, and Sirt. These meetings were part of the broader US efforts to aid Libya in achieving institutional unity.
The embassy stressed that achieving the unity of institutions is critical for Libya’s stability.
