Tripoli: The US Embassy in Libya has expressed its support for the establishment of the Tripoli Truce Committee, emphasizing the need for lasting security measures in the capital.
According to Libyan News Agency, the US Embassy highlighted the role of the Presidential Council and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya in spearheading the initiative. In a message shared on its Twitter account, the embassy urged all involved parties to abstain from violence and contribute to a permanent ceasefire. Furthermore, it emphasized the importance of safeguarding civilians and called for collaborative efforts to create enduring security arrangements in Tripoli.
