Tunis: The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) organized a two-day workshop in Tunisia, focusing on the “Code of Conduct for Military and Security Personnel” in Libya. This event saw the participation of military and security officials, alongside representatives from various ministries and institutions across the country.
According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions during the workshop centered on aligning the Code with international standards and Libyan law. Participants deliberated on effective ways to enforce the Code on the ground, with a particular emphasis on enhancing human rights.
The workshop also highlighted the need for improved coordination among security and military entities to address significant challenges such as border security, violent extremism, and illegal migration.
