Johannesburg: The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has called on Libyan youth to participate in the 'Youth Voices for Libya's Future' campaign by submitting original digital artwork expressing their visions and aspirations for the country's future. This initiative aims to support youth creativity and enhance their participation in national and developmental issues.

According to Libyan News Agency, UNSMIL emphasized that submitted works should be directly related to one of the campaign's main themes: Youth and Climate Action, Youth, Education and Skills, and Youth and Healthy Communities. The mission noted that submissions should reflect issues such as climate change, water scarcity, environmental protection, and youth aspirations in areas like learning, entrepreneurship, innovation, and employment opportunities, as well as promoting mental and physical health, sports, and positive lifestyles.

UNSMIL explained that the campaign welcomes various forms of original digital art, including digital drawing, graphic design, poster design, comics, cartoons, and 3D art, and encouraged talented young people to submit their work within the specified categories.

The mission, in a post on its official page today, Monday, set August 9, 2026, as the deadline for receiving submissions, emphasizing that works that do not align with the announced themes will not be accepted or evaluated.

The mission invited those interested in participating to review further details and submit their work via the campaign's dedicated link: https://tinyurl.com/5ewzr4a9
