According to Libyan News Agency, the US Embassy in Libya expressed deep concern over the intensifying conflict in Tripoli, urging a swift de-escalation and the restoration of calm in the affected areas. The embassy’s statement highlighted its alignment with the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) regarding the ongoing hostilities in residential zones, underscoring that civilian protection must be prioritized by all involved parties.
The embassy further stressed the necessity for an immediate reduction in hostilities and a cessation of violence to prevent further escalation and potential civilian casualties.
