United Nations Youth Task Force Holds First Coordination Meeting in Tripoli

Tripoli: The United Nations is organizing its first coordination meeting to support youth participation and address their priorities. The United Nations Youth Task Force in Libya held its first joint coordination meeting today in Tripoli with the House of Representatives' Sustainable Development Goals Committee and the Ministry of Youth, with the participation of UN agencies, members of parliament, and other national institutions.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening cooperation to support youth participation and address their priorities. Participants discussed practical steps to improve youth-friendly legislation, use data to inform decision-making, expand opportunities for skills development and innovation, promote climate-related environmental initiatives, and build partnerships with the private sector.

Participants agreed on the importance of translating youth priorities into concrete policies, investments, and programs that achieve tangible results on the ground, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
