According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions, facilitated by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), focused on overcoming the current impasse in preparation for national elections. The meeting also emphasized the significance of an agreement aimed at unifying public spending, which is expected to contribute to economic stability and support the unification of national institutions through a unified budget.
