UN Advisory Committee Concludes Meeting on Libya’s Electoral Framework

Tripoli: The Advisory Committee, formed by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), concluded its fifth meeting on Tuesday after a three-day session in Tripoli. The focus of the meeting was on addressing contentious issues within Libya’s electoral framework, which are seen as essential for creating a conducive environment for elections.

According to Libyan News Agency, the UN Mission shared on its official page that the Committee continued discussions on these critical issues. The Committee’s task involved reviewing the existing electoral framework in Libya and proposing solutions to overcome obstacles hindering the effective implementation of elections.
