Tripoli: U.S. Charg© d'Affaires in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, emphasized that the full implementation of the unified budget will help advance Libya's financial stability; defend the value of the Libyan dinar and the Libyan people's purchasing power; enable the implementation of development projects and international investments across Libya; provide the necessary financial resources for the National Oil Corporation; and strengthen Libya's vital technocratic institutions.

According to Libyan News Agency, Berndt expressed his pleasure in joining the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Issa, the Deputy Governor Maree Al-Barassi, the Head of the Libyan Audit Bureau Khaled Shakshak, and the members of the newly formed Joint Finance Committee.
