Turkish Intelligence Announces The Killing Of A Leader Of The (PKK) In Northern Syria

Turkish intelligence announced the killing of a prominent leader of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Ras Al-Ain, northern Syria.

The Turkish intelligence said in a statement today that one of its units operating in northern Syria managed to kill Osman Nuri Ojakli, one of the prominent leaders of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Ras al-Ain, northern Syria.

It indicated that Osman Nuri Ojakli was directly responsible for carrying out several armed operations inside Turkey, including the attack on a prison in Bursa.

Turkish intelligence stated that the operation to eliminate Ojakli took place after he was monitored and tracked by the Turkish intelligence in Ras al-Ain, northern Syria.

It indicated that Ojakli continued his armed activities as an official in the armed apparatus of the PKK in Turkey, and moved to the Qandil Mountains region in Iraq in 2014 and to Ras al-Ain region in Syria in 2015.
