The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the repeated attacks on the Holy Qur’an in the Danish capital, Copenhagen.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed in a statement today, Tuesday, that the Danish officials’ insistence on ignoring these incidents and protecting incitement operations shows that they do not see the extent of the results that could result from these events.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in its statement: “This type of attack not only offends billions of Muslims, but also harms society and the culture of coexistence, and the Danish authorities must take measures to prevent the recurrence of these hate crimes.”

On Monday, a Danish far-right anti-Islam group calling itself “Danske Patrioter” burned copies of the Holy Qur’an in front of the Iranian and Iraqi Embassies in Copenhagen.

Also, on the 22nd of this month, that group set fire to a copy of the Holy Qur’an in front of the Iraqi Embassy in Copenhagen, and a period before that it insulted Islam by attacking a copy of the Qur’an and the Turkish flag in front of the Turkish Embassy in the Danish capital.
