Ras Ajdir: Patrols from the Law Enforcement Department of the General Directorate of Security Operations of the Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity seized a number of Tunisian vehicles at the Ras Ajdir border crossing. The vehicles were caught while attempting to smuggle goods and merchandise from Libya, as well as smuggling fuel through illegal tanks.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry of Interior stated that legal measures were taken against those involved, and they were referred to the competent authorities. The vehicles and seized items were impounded in accordance with applicable laws.
The Ministry affirmed its continued efforts to combat smuggling in all its forms. It emphasized taking deterrent measures to protect the national economy and enhance public security.
