Tripoli: Tripoli Security Director, Major General Khalil Wahiba, conducted a field visit this morning to the Al-Befe diversion on the highway, as part of efforts to address one of the city’s most notorious traffic accident sites.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Security Directorate stated that this visit is part of ongoing coordination with the Housing and Infrastructure Projects Implementation Authority, aimed at implementing road modifications and finding permanent solutions to reduce the frequent and serious accidents at this critical point.
During the tour, the engineering proposals for road modifications were reviewed, and the feasibility of implementing these modifications in a technically sound manner that would minimize loss of life and property was examined.
It is worth noting that the Al-Befe diversion is one of the black spots that witness heavy traffic and frequent accidents, which calls for urgent intervention to improve traffic safety.
