Toghi Engages in Talks with Russian Chargé d’Affaires on Cultural Collaboration

Tripoli: Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development Mabrouka Toghi met with Nikolai Lukashin, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Russian Embassy, to explore avenues for bilateral cooperation in cultural and artistic fields and discuss mechanisms to support and enhance these areas.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions also emphasized the importance of leveraging the historical relations between Libya and Russia to foster cultural exchanges. The meeting highlighted the need to activate joint initiatives that can facilitate dialogue and creative communication between cultural institutions in both nations. These efforts are part of the preparations for celebrating the 70th anniversary of Libyan-Russian relations in 2025.

During the meeting, Nikolai Lukashin extended an official invitation from the Russian Minister of Culture to Mabrouka Toghi, inviting her to participate in the 11th United Cultures Forum.
