Three Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Al-Sarraj Area

Tripoli: The Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Agency announced on Saturday that its investigations office had arrested three Libyan nationals on charges of drug trafficking in the Al-Sarraj area of Tripoli.

According to Libyan News Agency, the agency explained that the operation followed confirmed information regarding the three individuals' involvement in drug distribution in the area. After a meticulous surveillance operation, the suspects were apprehended in possession of 174 tablets suspected to be the psychotropic substances Lyrica and Ecstasy, in addition to three pieces suspected to be hashish, commonly known as "Al-Qarsa."

The agency indicated that the necessary legal procedures were taken against the suspects, and they were referred to the Anti-Narcotics Prosecution Office.
