Tripoli–The UN Secretary-General Special Representative for Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily called on all parties in Libya to engage in inclusive dialogue as the only way to overcome the current impasse, and meet the aspirations of the Libyan people.
The United Nations Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) said in a tweet, “the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General welcomes resumption of dialogue between the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Head of the High Council of State and expresses his readiness to discuss the details, mechanisms and timetables for the implementation of their commitments.
It said it also urges all parties in Libya to engage in inclusive dialogue as the only way to overcome the current impasse and meet the aspirations of the Libyan people.
