Tripoli,-The Society of Beekeepers celebrated World Bee Day.

‘Bees are insects that have a significant impact on humans, they are hard-working creatures, making honey that is beneficial to humans, as well as affecting other aspects of human life, the society said in a statement.

Bees have a role to play in pollinating crops, vaccinating more than 90% of various agricultural crops such as kiwi, cauliflower, apples, watermelons, celery, avocados, cucumbers, citrus fruits, wild grapes, cranberries, cherries, etc.’

Bees are the only organism capable of producing honey, honey which is an important food, and has several medical benefits, helping to prevent cancer, heart disease, digestive disorders, diabetes, and is helpful to sooth coughing, enhance athletic performance, and heal wounds. The society works to help beekeepers, by organizing exhibitions and projects for beekeeping, and legalize honey imports and establish controls on the flow of unknown types of honey.
